A walk in central Almaty: the park, Arbat or Panfilov Street

For a first walk, choose one anchor: the Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, Arbat or the pedestrian part of Panfilov Street. You do not have to combine all three. A small plan is easier to adjust to the weather and your available time.

For greenery and an unhurried pace

Visit Almaty describes the Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen as a green and memorial space in the centre. Pick a walk along its paths and one stop that interests you. Respect other visitors and the purpose of the memorial area.

For a city-street walk

Arbat offers a pedestrian city setting. Panfilov Street is another option listed by the city tourism portal. Check opening hours before choosing a café; treat performances and events as a possible bonus, not something guaranteed for your date.

How to connect stops

Enter your exact start and selected stops in a map, then choose walking mode. Compare the route with your time budget and allow separately for stops and lunch. A mapped route does not confirm that every crossing is suitable for a stroller; check those sections in advance.

A short request for Yuti

“I am in central Almaty with two hours. I want a park and coffee, without taxis. Suggest two stops from my starting point and a rainy-day alternative.” Two hours is your planning constraint, not a verified duration for this route. If you are tired, keep one location and a nearby break.
